Obituary for Venita J. Jeffreys (Moore)

Venita J. Jeffreys, 70, retired Wichita Public Schools administrative assistant, joined her Heavenly Father on March 27, 2017. Venita was amazing! She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandma, aunt, and cousin. She loved her family very much and had a strong faith in God. Venita loved putting together jigsaw puzzles, listening to Elvis and country music. Collecting Santa Claus', Coca Cola and angel items was a hobby that shared lots of memorabilia for everyone to see. Survivors include her husband, Jon; daughters, Paula Smith (Steve) of Oklahoma City, Melany Lundgren (Derek) of Wichita, Karla Smith of Arlington, TX; sister, Lorna Cardinal (Jeff) of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Nicole, Breanna, Matthew, Nathan, Meghan, Dereck, Melanie; 13 nephews; 3 nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, Zola and Catherine Moore; brothers, Tom Moore and Bob Moore. Viewing: 1-8pm Thursday, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service: 2pm Friday, March 31, 2017, also at the mortuary. A memorial is established in Venita's name with Creighton University Medical Center Surgical Oncology, Brian Loggie PMP Research Fund Attn: Courtney Burger, 601 N. 30th St. Ste 2803, Omaha, NE 68116. Venita has left behind an incredible legacy of selflessness and love.
