Obituary for Phyllis Jane Updyke

Derby – Updyke, Phyllis Jane, age 83, passed away June 18, 2011. Memorial service 10am Friday, July 8th, 2011 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Phyllis was born March 10, 1928 in DeRuyter, NY to Aurel and Cecil Barber. She married Lewis Wesley Updyke on March 8th, 1948 in Homer, NY. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Donna Lee Hamilton; brothers, Ronald Jerome and Russell Thomas Barber. She is survived by her children; Dana Thomas (Nancy) Updyke of Manassas, VA, Deborah Jane (Jeff) Dickerson and Deidra Lou (Tom) Neely of Stafford, VA; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the American Lung Association, 2024 N. Woodlawn, Ste. 114 Wichita, KS 67208.
