Obituary for Jeanine Ann Veach

Jeanine Ann Veach, age 82, of Derby,retired secretary, USD 259, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 26th, 2017, surrounded by her family. Jeanine was passionate about family, liked to collect unicorns, was an avid pinochle club member for over 40 years, and loved Christmas. Recitation of the Rosary, 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 29, Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am, Thursday, March 30th, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2300 E. Meadowlark. Inurnment is scheduled at 2:00 pm Thursday, Kansas Veterans' Cemetery, Winfield, KS. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Caroline Douvia; and a sister, Donna Hey. Jeanine is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Ralph; children, Catherine Branum (Alan), Daniel Veach (Dana), Julie Huddleston, Francis Veach (Rebecca), Phillip Veach; brother, Dwayne Douvia; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flower, a memorial has been established with PAN Foundation-Multiple Myeloma Foundation, 1331 F Street NW, Suite 975, Washington, DC 20004.
