Obituary for Everdean "Dean" Zwak

Zwak, Everdean “Dean”, 82, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015. She was born July 31, 1933 in Rock Valley, IA to Meas and Grace (Meerbeek) Van Beek. Dean was a very religious person who cared for people and enjoyed helping. She is survived by her children, Harlow (Susan) Zwak, Glenda Merkwann, Ricky Zwak, and David (Dana) Zwak; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and 3 sisters. Visitation: Monday, 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Funeral: 2 pm, Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Crosswinds Community Church, 208 N. Georgie, Derby, KS 67037. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Thrift Stores, 926 N. Mosley, Wichita, KS 67214.
