This Book of Memories memorial website is designed to be a permanent tribute paying tribute to the life and memory of Velma Schroeder. It allows family and friends a place to re-visit, interact with each other, share and enhance this tribute for future generations. Condolence: Dear Carol, Tom and Family,
We offer our deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom. Velma lived a full life and touch many, as she raised her family in the Derby community. She and Iris knew each other for many years, worked together and T,G & Y, and in later years enjoyed taking bus trips and going to coffee group and the Derby Senior Center together. I (Lynn) was especially grateful my mom had Velma's friendship after my father (Tom) passed away. We are so sorry we were not able to come to Derby for the service, but only learned of her passing last night. Maybe she rest in peace, and be accompanied by those good friends she made as she begins her walk beyond.
