Robert Doyle “Johnny” Hansell
Robert Doyle Hansell took his final ride on 29th of October 2017, at Fountain View Nursing Home in Rose Hill KS.
Robert was born on March 25, 1944. He is survived by his wife of 57yrs, Betty Sue Hansell: his daughter, Quinnda (Vince) McMullen of Mulvane, KS and son, Robert Mitchell (LeAnn) Hansell of Sylacauga, AL. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Brittany Persinger of Springfield MO, Tabatha Rosproy of Winfield KS, Vincent McMullen Jr. of Wichita KS., Johnny Lee Hansell, Robert Coleman Hansell and Robert Doyle Hansell of Sylacauga AL. 3 great grandchildren, Bradyn Persinger, Brock Persinger and Brylee Persinger of Springfield, MO and many nieces and nephews spread out around the deep South. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Coleman Hansell and Dola Geneva Messer-Hansell, brother, Dexter Hansel and sisters, Lou, Felicia, Jo, Bobbie, Helen, and Mary.
Robert was born on Sand Mountain in Blount county, Alabama. Lived in Florida, South Carolina, Oklahoma and Kansas. Robert went out on his own when he was just 14 years old. He spent his life as an owner of several car lots and as a mechanic. His favorite past time was restoring old cars. Among his favorites were his 1957 Chevy Bel Air and 1948 Chevy Stylemaster.
Grave side service will be on November 1, 2017 at three-thirty at Mulvane Cemetery.
