Thelma Kathryn Irwin, 89, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017. Visitation 1 to 8 pm, Thursday, November 2, at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. Funeral service 2:00 pm, Friday, November 3, at Valley Center Christian Church 1801 E. 5th St. Thelma retired from Beech Aircraft Upholstery Division in 1989, after 24 years. She was preceded in death by her husbands Paul Hamilton and James Irwin; children Paula Bragg, Bruce Hamilton; step-daughter Christina Stateler; parents Austin and Jeffie Rose; brothers Dave Rose, Cleve Rose; sisters Helen Brewer, Charlotte Rose; grandson PFC Ryan Cox who died serving in Iraq, great-grandson Oliver Ortiz. Survived by her son, R. Jeff (Robin) Hamilton of Wellington; step-daughters Linda Eshleman of Lititz, PA; Kay (Ron) Berens of Belle Plaine; Jamie (Robert) Ortiz of Chaunte; and brother, John Rose of Salina; 16 grandchildren, and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
