Allen Laverne  Winter
Allen Laverne Winter, 82, retired owner/operator of Pix Barber Shop in Mulvane before retiring in 2000, died December 28, 2017. He was born in Nashville, KS on May 20, 1935 to Henry and Gayle Winter. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1954-1958; was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Albert Pike Lodge #201 in Mulvane, KS as well as a member of the Midian Shrine. On November 27, 1963, he and Nancy Reynolds were married. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ron; sister, Virginia. Survived by his wife, Nancy; sister, Vickie Scarbrough of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law, John Reynolds of Jupiter, FL; 1 nephew; 2 nieces. Celebration of Life Service: 10:30am Friday, January 5, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 503 Louis, Mulvane. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is established with the church.
