Obituary for Patsy Millen

Patsy Jo (Travis) Millen

May 26, 1929-January 2, 2018

Patsy Jo (Travis) Millen was born in Mulvane, Kansas on May 26, 1929 and passed away at the age of 88 on January 2, 2018 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born to Charles & Jessie (Garretson) Travis and is preceded in death by her parents and most recently her husband Darrell on November 14, 2017.

Patsy grew up in Mulvane and graduated in 1947 from Mulvane High School. She married Darrell Millen on December 24, 1947. He was the love of her life and they were married just shy of 70 years upon his passing in November. Patsy and Darrell lived and raised their family in Mulvane until 1968 when they moved to Claremore, Oklahoma. Patsy worked as a PBX operator for the Claremore Regional Medical Center for 19 years and upon retirement she became an active member of the Women’s Auxiliary where she could be found each week working in the hospital gift shop. She and Darrell also vacationed each summer in Colorado and hosted many of their friends and family over the years.

Patsy Millen was beloved by her family and friends. Her kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was simply the BEST!

She is survived by brother Jerry Lee Travis of Mulvane, Kansas, son Patrick Dean Millen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, daughters Traci Jo Fullerton and Tomi Rae Horn both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, granddaughter Toni (Mark) Kosir of Tulsa, OK, grandson Corey Lowrance of Dallas, Texas, three great-grandchildren; Rachel, Matthew and Samuel Kosir all of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

A visitation/committal service will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 from 2pm-3:30pm at the Smith Funeral Home in Mulvane, KS with burial to follow in the Mulvane Cemetery at 3:30pm. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Rice Funeral Service in Claremore.
