Marlene Elizabeth Fether, age 80, of Haysville, retired Kelly Manufacturing employee, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. Visitation 1-8 pm Thursday, February 1, with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Funeral service 2 pm Friday, February 2, First Christian Church, 7465 S. Meridian, Haysville. Marlene is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth J. Nelson and her second husband, Wayne Fether; parents, Ed and Lela Caselman; son Scott Nelson and his wife, Cathy; brother, Max Caselman; infant sister, Martha; and sisters, Marjorie Lattin and Mildred Bohnert. Survivors include her sons, Duane J. Nelson, Wichita, Kenneth Nelson, Wichita; daughter, Lynne Lubbers (Tim), of Mt. Hope; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with First Christian Church, 7465 S. Meridian, Haysville, KS 67060 and the Alzheimers Association, 1820 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214.
