Obituary for Brenda Rinehart

Brenda Rinehart
Brenda Lee Rinehart, 25, left us behind on February 15, 2018. She was like a sparkler firework whose bright sparks would light up a room or a friend's face. Brenda was widely known for her ability to befriend almost any human or beast, and try to help them to a better life situation. She did this in spite of a daily struggle with her own health. Brenda loved the outdoors, hated being by herself, and hearing her laugh was our greatest joy. Her bond with older people endeared her to many, especially her grandparents. Any missed opportunities, or thinking we had more time with her was a big mistake with a sparkler like her. Memorial service 2 p.m., Saturday, February 24, at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby. All are welcome to wear camo and boots to the service. Brenda was preceded in death by grandparents Don Sowden, Arthur Siedler, Charles Rinehart, and Barbara Salter. She is survived by parents Melinda and Matt Sowden; sister Caitlyn Sowden; aunts and uncles Rachel (Ben Ryken) Rinehart, Bryan (Amber) Rinehart, and Adam (Ashton ) Wilhite. Surviving grandparents include Nancy Wilhite, and William and Elizabeth Rinehart. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kansas Humane Society.
