Levita F. (WIlks) Smith
Levita F. (Wilks) Smith, 85, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born April 14, 1932 to Vernon and Lavon (Hinshaw) Wilks in Rose Hill, KS. Levita worked as a lead records clerk at Boeing for 17 years. She was a huge college basketball fan, especially KU and WSU. Levita enjoyed her trips to the casino. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Smith; son, Gary Smith; and sister-in-law, Becky Smith. Levita is survived by her sons, Terry Smith, Steve Smith, and Rick Smith; grandchildren, Della (Dennis) Shirley and Michael Smith; great-granddaughters, Kyndall Glock, Lillian Shirley, and Alex Shirley; siblings, Lorraine (Phyllis) Wilks, Verna (Carl) Gifford, Ed (Lola) Wilks; and Jack (Dorothy) Wilks. Celebration of Life: 1 pm, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, 5701 E. Mt. Vernon, Wichita, KS 67218. Private family inurnment to take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
