Condolence: Minks family and friends,

I am devastated to hear of Brian's passing. I will miss his wit and humor, his advice, and his willingness to drop everything to help me with whatever I needed. Studying, evaluating if what I made for a class was good enough, replacing my "hot gloves with holes" in my lab, cleaning my lab in the summer just because. He even offered to help me with the birth of four precious puppies after Finley had her litter and let me borrow everything I needed. Brian was there to support me in some of my darkest moments and has been - still is - an inspiration. It doesn't feel real that he is no longer with us. I keep expecting to hear him knock on my office door or tell me off for stressing too much.

I have so many fond memories of this amazing man. Know that he has impacted so many lives here at Cowley Mulvane, from faculty, to staff, to changing the lives of his fellow students. I have watched him pay for meals, pick up kids without cars for class, and literally give away a laptop to someone who didn't have one. He had an uncanny way of knowing when I said "I'm fine" I was lying and wouldn't let me get away with it. He was the best kind of, very unique, friend.

I know you are hurting. I cant imagine your pain. Corey and Madison, you were his pride and joy. I got to hear of every meet you attended and every funny thing you did. He loved you guys. Kenzi, I was continually wowed by the amount of love he showed for you. Everything that he ever said about you was uplifting and beautiful. He often told me about working with his dad and how wonderful his mom was.

Grief is the last act of love we can give those we loved. Where there is deep grief, there is great love.

If you need anything at all please reach out. Sending love your way.
