Age 90, passed away Friday, May 18th, 2018. She was born July 1,1927 in Anson, Kansas to Dyral and John Brown. Doris married Richard (Dick) Watkins May 29,1949, enjoying almost 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. A life long resident of Mulvane, she worked as a secretary for many years at Munson Primary School and knew and remembered the children and families who attended school there. Doris and Dick loved to travel with their friends in their RVs. They visited many places in Kansas and Colorado, and after retiring they spent the summers in Colorado and winters in Arizona. Doris loved her family and would do anything for them without judgement. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a founding member of the Wildcat Camping Club, bridge group, sewing club, and red hats.

Preceded in death by husband, Dick Watkins; brothers Max and Dean Brown. Doris is survived by children: Steve Watkins (Jamie), Karen Warren (Carl), Pam Mitchell (John); grandchildren: Amanda Thomas (Chris), Anthony Fancher, Leah Warren, Jaysa Nichols (Trent), Jessica Warren, Sara Watkins, Will Watkins (Kelsey), Taylor Mitchell, Matt Mitchell; great grandchildren: Hudson and Campbell Thomas, Hutch and Hayes Nichols; sister Norma Bachman (Jerry); sisters in law Barbara Brown, Katherine Harlan.

Visitation 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 Family greeting friends from 5:00 -7:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, Mulvane 501 SE Louis Blvd Mulvane, Kansas 67110.

Memorial Service 10:00 am, Thursday, May 24th, 2018 at First Baptist Church Mulvane 1020 N 2nd Ave Mulvane, Kansas 67110.
