Robert "Bob" A. Cummings
Haysville - Cummings, Robert "Bob" Arthur, 90, passed away Saturday, May 26th, 2018. He was born October 10th, 1927 to Marguerite Cummings and Everette Cummings in Doniphan County, Kansas. Bob was happily married to his wife, Thelma Cummings, for 68 years. In early adulthood he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served active duty from 1943 to 1946 in the South Pacific as an Airplane Mechanic and Firefighter. He spent most of his adult life in Haysville, Kansas. Bob worked for Cessna Aircraft for 25+ years in the Engineering department. He was an avid sports enthusiast, coaching sports for his children during their childhood and perfecting golf and bowling in his retirement. He loved Kansas college sports teams and professional baseball. His humor and animated stories will be dearly missed by his family.

He is preceded in death by, brothers, Everett Cummings, Donald Cummings, Maurice Cummings; sister, Eileen Morris. Robert is survived by wife, Thelma Cummings; daughter, Marilyn Flowers (Bret); sons, Terry Cummings (Colleen), Michael Cummings (Judy), Gary Cummings (Susan), Donald "Doug" Cummings (Claire), Jeffrey Cummings (Patricia);grandchildren, Jamie Geier (David), Jennifer Pierpoint (Todd), Julie DeWitt (Zach), Christina Murphy (Robert), Amanda Hagan (John), Brian Flowers, Shane Flowers, Jacob Flowers, Josh Flowers, Scott Cummings (Gennie), Kelly Gilpatrick (Ryan), Kenny Cummings, Shawna Cummings, Anna Cummings, Ashley Cummings, Daniella Cisneros (Angel), Bethany Cisneros, Devlin Cummings, Kendra Cummings, Leanna Bussman (Ryan), Angela Cummings, Nick Cummings; numerous great grand children; siblings, Patricia Turner, Shirley Wilson;sister in laws, Sister Emerentia Wiesner, Marion Regier, Velma O'Brien, Florence Lyon (Eldon), Rose Haynes (Fred), Frances DeJarnett (Elroy); brother in law, John Wiesner (Mitzi) .

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Monday, May 28th, 2018 at Smith Mortuary, Haysville 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060. Funeral Service will be held at Saint Cecilia Catholic Parish 1830 West Grand Avenue Haysville, KS 67060 on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 at 10:00 am. Memorials may be made to St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
