Obituary for Mary Conway

Family and friends are welcome to come to our celebration of life memorial held for Francy Conway.

The service will be held on Monday, June 9th at 10am in Maize, Kansas at the Ark Church located at 5501 N. Maize Road, Maize, KS 67101.
Pastor Mike Leichner will lead the service. Guests are invited to share memories during the gathering if they would like. A fellowship time will follow the service.
Guests are encouraged to wear bright or light colored clothing. Our mother was buried in white as she was a faithful follower of Jesus and is believed to be present with the Lord at the time of her death.

Our Loving Mother Francy, will forever remain in our hearts.
Momma was the first to say, "I love you." She knew life is fragile and should not be taken for granted even for one day. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Francy Conway was born Mary Frances Regnier on October 22, 1948 in Dodge City, Kansas and entered into heaven on July 3, 2018 in Wichita, Kansas.
Francy was a life long resident of Wichita, Kansas. Francy lived in Central Wichita most of her life until she moved to Derby in the late 80's then to northwest Wichita in the mid 90's.
Francy attended Allison Middle School and East High School. Francy was employed in management at Washer Specialties in downtown Wichita for 39 years where she had many very close friends.
She was a faithful member and Sunday school teacher at the Ark Church starting in 1989 until the spring of 2018.
Francy was a deeply caring mother, sister, grandmother and aunt.
Without a word she knew things about you, she remembered you and cared about your needs. She prayed for each and every person she knew on a routine basis.
One of her favorite activities was spending time with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews for birthday celebrations on weekends.
She also adored her two tri colored Corgi dogs, Daisy and Copper and her cat Sassy.
A few memorable times for Mom in Wichita were working at Armstrong's ice cream parlor and as a child going to the Saturday movies at the Orpheum theatre.
She also mentioned the Miller theater--how fun it was to go to there in the 60's and to go to the drive in theater as a family.
Our summers were often spent going to many lakes and on vacations to Colorado.
Francy enjoyed taking short day trips to Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Kansas City and Dallas for visiting family or for a scenic road trip.
In Springtime Francy looked forward to seeing nature and flowers. She enjoyed visiting the Arboretum in spring Belle Plaine, Kansas and Woodward Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Francy was a good cook and baker. Nearly every Saturday morning she prepared a large breakfast. She enjoyed baking at especially during Christmas, famous for her dutch apple pie.
She loved music and insisted upon listening to gospel music.
