Haysville - Sampson Jr., Lawrence "Ross"
91, retired Master Plumber, passed away Tuesday, July 24th, 2018. He was born January 30th, 1927 to Bess and Lawrence Sampson Sr. in Wichita, Kansas. Ross and Alberta Riggs married in December of 1949, together they had three children Larry, Chris and Sarah. As a younger man, Ross was involved with the Cub Scouts, and very active in the Haysville Junior Baseball League. He was involved with Kiwanis in both Haysville and Wichita. Ross enjoyed hunting, traveling and in his later years loved working in his flower bed. Ross was a member of the West Side Christian Church in Wichita and later became a member of Central Christian Church in Wichita. During his 40+ years in the plumbing industry, Ross served as a board member, and a past president of the Wichita Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association. He is preceded in death by parents Lawrence Ross Sampson Sr. and Bess (Carley) Sampson; siblings: Lilly Gay Webb, Raymond Sampson. Ross is survived by wife Alberta Sampson; son, Larry Sampson (Kelly); daughters, Chris Krise (Jim), Sarah Sampson; grandkids, Katie Johnson (Heath), Lindsay Buckert (Aaron), Jennifer Ruppert (Paul), Joshua Sampson (Susan); great-grandkids, Ashleigh, Emma, Ty, Morgan, Cam, Jed, Conner, Caden, Meghan, Paige and sister, Edyth Scott. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Friday July 27, 2018 with the Funeral Service following at 10am at Haysville First Baptist Church 125 S Delos Haysville.
