Obituary for Steven R. Chance

Steven R.Chance, age 68, of Cheney, retired Boeing Company, Electrical Engineer, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Visitation 1-8 pm Tuesday, July 31, with family receiving friends 5-7 pm, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville; funeral service 11 am Wednesday, August 1, Trinity United Christian Church, 416 N. Washington St., Cheney with the graveside service following at 4 pm at the Maple City Cemetery. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Nellie Chance, and his brother, Charles. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Jo Ann; son, Ray Chance, of Arkansas City; daughter, Robin Janzen (Andy), of Wichita; sister, Vickie Riggs, of San Diego, CA; and his granddaughters, Gwenyth and Carmen Janzen. Memorials have been established with Trinity United Christian Church, 416 N. Washington St., Cheney, KS 67025 and the Christian Church in Kansas, Disciples Center at Tawakoni, Cabin 3 Building Fund, 2914 SW MacVicar Ave, Topeka, KS 66611.
