On August 13th Robert (Bob) Eugene Walker joined his wife, Lily and son Robert in Heaven. He died from a broken heart after his wife passed away on June 5th. Bob was born in Jessup, Iowa, and was raised on a farm. He joined the Army Air Corp during World War II. While stationed in England he met the love of his life, Lily. They were married 74 years. After the war he received training and 2 knives to be a butcher with the GI Bill. Eventually he became a U.S. Postal Carrier, from which he retired after 30+ years. His greatest joy was his family. He passed peacefully because of the kind and loving care from Serenity Hospice and Homestead Assisted Living in Derby with family by his side.
