Francie Showalter

Derby – Showalter, Frances Marie, age 63, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away Monday, April 18th, 2011. Visitation 1-8pm Thursday with family present 6-8pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby. Funeral service 10am Friday at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 431 S. Woodlawn Blvd., Derby. Francie retired from Cessna December 31, 2010 after 21 years of service in the Citation Parts Division. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Della Chapter No. 172 of Kingman, KS and also enjoyed being active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority of Derby, KS. Francie was preceded in death by her father, Bill McIlrath; brothers, Charlie Bill and Franklin McIlrath. She is survived by her mother, Janis McIlrath; husband of 40 years, Mike Showalter; children, Dr.’s Sarah (Brian) Ott of Charlottesville, VA, Laura (Clint) Poteete of Lawrence, KS and Brett Showalter of Lawrence, KS; grandchildren, Ethan Ott, Madelyn Ott, Jacob Poteete, Ella Ott and Lillian Frances Poteete; siblings, Larry, Kathy (Leroy Reid) and Clinton (Serena) McIlrath all of Kingman, KS. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Woodlawn United Methodist Church.
