Obituary for Suzanne Oldenstadt

F. Suzanne Oldenstadt, 70, died April 21, 2017. She was born to George and Verna Coffey Oldenstadt on June 3, 1946 in Drumright, Oklahoma and grew up in Oilton, Oklahoma. As a graduate of Oklahoma State University, Suzanne began and ended her 35-year teaching career in the Social Studies Department at Wichita High School East. Upon retiring from teaching in 2004, she turned a volunteer position into part-time work serving as a manager for the St. Francis campus Ronald McDonald House. Suzanne was also an active member of Riverwalk Church of Christ, Eta Omega of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, and Chapter IY, P.E.O. Sisterhood. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Paul Oldenstadt. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Dana Oldenstadt, nieces, Jamie McAnulty (Scott), Georgia Oldenstadt (Josh Bryant), Julia Ormond (Keenan), great nephews and niece Patrick and Caroline Morgan, Grant and Max Ormond, and Matthew Oldenstadt. Celebration of Life service: 1:30pm Wednesday, April 26, Riverwalk Church of Christ, 225 North Waco, Wichita. Memorials are established with Ronald McDonald House of Wichita; Victory in the Valley, Inc; and Chapter IY, P.E.O. Sisterhood.
