Obituary for Keith Richard Lawless

Keith Richard  Lawless
Keith R. Lawless, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born March 29, 1937 to Richard and Iva (Burton) Lawless in Belle Plaine, KS. Keith had an extensive work history, including working the same farm ground that his father did. He worked in the aircraft industry, was a respected salesman for the STP Corporation, and owned a construction and wood craft company. It is well known that Keith loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Keith will be remembered for his Keithisms, selective hearing, and high pain tolerance. The biggest legacy that he leaves his family with is his love for the Lord and being a great role model. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Lawless; grandchildren, Alexis Crittenden and Graham Springer; and great-granddaughter, Brenna Crittenden. Keith is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Karen; children, Brian Lawless, Tammie (Randy) Foust, Rigaile Lawless, and Greg (Sofie) Lawless; grandchildren, Vanessa, Amber, Allyson, Ashley, Aleesha, Branden, and Lauren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Lawless and Sadie Batt. Visitation: Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 5 to 7 pm at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby, KS 67037. Funeral Service: 10 am, Friday, January 5, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Belle Plaine, 612 N. Linden, Belle Plaine, KS.
