Obituary for Cheryl Jean Howland

Cheryl Jean  Howland
Haysville - Howland, Cheryl Jean 68, passed away Saturday, April 14th, 2018. She was born April 7th, 1950 to Calvin and Wilma Chisholm in Wichita, Kansas. Cheryl loved her family and always made sure everyone was together for holidays and a birthday was never missed. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren and attended every ballgame, rodeo and wrestling match. Cheryl was proud of her Native American heritage, and all that went along with being a descendent of the Chisholm Trail. Animals were a huge part of her life with multiple dogs, cats and horses throughout the years. Cheryl also spent 12 years, that she enjoyed very much, with the Haysville School district serving as a bus aide. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Beverly Murphy. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Delbert Howland; daughters, Bobbi Meairs, Michelle Giammasi; son, Delbert (Shannon) Howland Jr.;grandchildren, Tara Boone, Colt (Jessica) Meairs, Tristan (Brandon) Shaver, Tyler Giammasi, Alex Giammasi, Dylan Howland, Bailey Giammasi; great grandchildren, Alexis Boone, Christopher Boone, Lilyanna Boone, Emmerson Meairs, Sadie Shaver, Rylee Shaver and expected soon Nash Meairs; brother, Jesse Chisholm ;multiple nieces and nephews. Visitation: Friday, April 20th, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with family greeting friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at Smith Mortuary, Haysville 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060. Funeral Service: 10:00 am, Saturday, April 21st, 2018 at Prairie Trail Cowboy Church 8552 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060.
